2-vehicle crash kills 1 on Hwy 287 NB near CR 2898
MONTAGUE CO., TX – A 51-year-old man died early Wednesday morning when a vehicle struck his car along the highway north of Alvord, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 1:09 a.m. on the northbound side of Highway 287 near County Road 2898, which is just west of the Lyndon B. Johnson National Grassland area.
The investigation thus far indicates that a northbound car struck a stalled vehicle on the highway. The collision resulted in death for the driver of the disabled vehicle. Police have not yet released his name to the public, but they say he is from Bowie.
Medics transported the other driver to a local hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
