Crash on E Grand Ave in Dallas kills driver, unrestrained infant
DALLAS, TX – A driver and an infant passenger died early Saturday morning after a solo collision along a busy roadway near Samuel-Grand Park in Dallas.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened around 2:45 a.m. in the area of 6400 East Grand Avenue, which is near the intersection with Tenison Parkway.
The investigation thus far indicates that the 25-year-old male driver was speeding when he crashed into a tree after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a curb.
The driver died at the scene of the accident, and an infant passenger died after transport to a local hospital. Police say that the infant was unrestrained and sitting with a female passenger in the front seat of the car at the time of the accident.
Medics transported the 22-year-old female passenger to the hospital with serious injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
