Major crash at NE Loop 820 and Haltom Rd causes major delays

HALTOM CITY, TX – Emergency crews responded to a major accident along Northeast Loop 820 in Haltom City on Thursday afternoon, reports Haltom City PD.

We are working on a major accident on westbound NE Loop 820 at Haltom Rd. Westbound traffic is being diverted to the service road at Denton HWY.

Please use caution and anticipate heavy traffic.

The incident happened sometime before 3:52 p.m. at the intersection with Haltom Road. This is east of I-35W and west of US-377, or the Denton Highway.

Officials haven’t yet commented on injuries or the number of vehicles involved in the collision, but they did ask motorists to avoid the area and expect significant delays along Loop 820.

Crews diverted westbound traffic to the service road at US-377 while teams worked to clear the scene.
