2-vehicle Grapevine crash on SH-114 kills 1, hurts 1
GRAPEVINE, TX – A 30-year-old man died late Saturday night after colliding with a pole and another vehicle on the highway in Grapevine, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened just after 11 p.m. on State Highway 114 between Texan Trail and William T. Tate Avenue, which is near the intersection with TX-121.
Police say that a driver of a sedan lost control of his car and struck a light pole along the right side of the highway. He then reentered the highway and crossed over to the westbound lanes where a pickup truck t-boned him.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene of the accident after becoming trapped behind the wheel of his car.
Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
