Accident involving stolen truck on US-75 in Howe kills Dallas man
HOWE, TX – A 37-year-old man died Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash involving a stolen truck along the highway in south-central Grayson County, reports KTEN 10.
The accident happened shortly after 9:38 p.m. on the northbound side of US-75 just past FM 902 in the city of Howe. This is about 56 miles north of Dallas.
Authorities say that Van Alstyne police attempted to stop a gray Dodge truck after reports of reckless driving. The driver evaded police, fled north on US-75, and crashed after losing control of the vehicle.
The driver, identified as Delio Lomas, died after transport to an area hospital.
Lomas reportedly stole the truck from a parking lot in McKinney, Texas, earlier that day.
