Semi crash on I-35E near Valley Ridge in Lewisville causes fire and fuel spill
LEWISVILLE, TX – Police are investigating a crash that caused an 18-wheeler to catch fire and spill fuel along the interstate in Lewisville on Saturday, reports WFAA News 8.
The incident happened around 8 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35E near Valley Ridge Boulevard, which is north of Medical City Lewisville.
Police haven’t shared many details about the initial accident that caused the fire and fuel spill. They say that the aftermath of the crash caused closures on both sides of the interstate while crews worked to gather evidence, extinguish the fire, and clean up the spill.
