Single-car rollover on US-287 kills Tarrant Co. Sheriff Officer
ARLINGTON, TX – A 34-year-old detention officer died Friday after he lost control of his vehicle along the highway in southwest Arlington, reports NBCDFW 5.
The incident happened just after 7 a.m. on the southbound side of US-287 near Little School Road, which is just southeast of I-20.
Police say the officer was driving his Subaru Outback southbound on the highway when he lost control of the vehicle and overturned after hitting a sign along the side of the roadway.
Medics extricated the victim from his vehicle and transported him to a local hospital, where he died. Authorities identified the victim as Tarrant County Jail Detention Cpl. Aron Iseman.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
