Solo motorcycle accident kills 1 on I-635WB at SH-121
GRAPEVINE, TX – A male motorcyclist died early Saturday morning after crashing his bike and being thrown from an overpass in Grapevine, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened before 2:30 a.m. on the exit ramp from westbound I-635 to SH-121 southbound, which is just southeast of Grapevine Lake.
The investigation thus far indicates that the motorcyclist lost control of his bike and hit a wall. The force of the collision caused the bike’s gas tank to ignite and threw the driver from his motorcycle and into the creek bed below the overpass.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
A full investigation is underway.
