Update: 4 dead, 2 critical following 5-vehicle crash on I-35 in Ft. Worth
FORT WORTH, TX – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office has confirmed a forth victim has died from injuries sustained in a major crash on I-35 in Fort Worth on Monday.
According to the Dallas Morning News, two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of the interstate near Barry Street at about 9 p.m. Seconds after the first collision, an 18-wheeler careened into the stopped vehicles.
Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Five others were transported to a local hospital, where one person succumbed to their injuries about an hour later.
At the time of this writing, two victims remain in the hospital with critical injuries.
