Woman killed in crash caused by hit-and-run driver at Jim Miller and Bruton

DALLAS, TX – A woman died Wednesday when an SUV struck her vehicle at a busy Dallas intersection in the area of the Piedmont Addition, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The incident happened just after midnight near the intersection of North Jim Miller Road and Bruton Road, which is just east of Grover C. Keeton Golf Course.

Police say that a driver lost control of his SUV, which overturned several times through the intersection after hitting the pole on a traffic light. The SUV then struck a car in the intersection, at which point the driver of the SUV fled the scene in another vehicle.

The woman whose car was struck by the SUV died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.

Police have not yet found the driver of the SUV that caused the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
