Wrong-way crash on FM 1810 in Chico kills 1 adult, 3 kids
CHICO, TX – A woman and three children died early Tuesday morning in a wrong-way crash along FM 1810 in Chico, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection with County Road 1340. This is on the eastern outskirts of the city.
Police say that a westbound vehicle entered the eastbound side of FM 1810 and collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.
The driver, identified only as a 32-year-old woman, died at the scene of the accident, as did three children ranging in age from 3 to 10.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the wrong-way driver.
Medics transported the truck driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
